Marie joined the Lab in March of 2016. She is responsible for reviewing, preparing and submitting proposal documents to non-federal organizations and negotiating Strategic Partnership Projects and Cooperative Research and Development agreements for the Biological Systems and Engineering Division and Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology areas of Biosciences.
Marie has 20+ years of research administration experience that began in the Sponsored Programs Office (SPO) at SDSU Research Foundation. She served as an Awards Specialist/Compliance Officer, Proposal Specialist and Supervisor. In 2006, she joined SPO at UC Davis as a Contracts and Grants (C&G) Analyst. InDecember of 2013, she accepted the role of C&G Officer/Awards Team Leader. Marie supervised the team that drafted and negotiated research agreements with federal, state and local government entities, private and not-for-profit organizations and subcontractors.
