Under SPPs, sponsors retain title to any inventions and proprietary data generated, with all associated costs covered by private funds. These programs provide sponsors with access to advanced laboratory facilities and top-tier researchers, making them particularly appealing for solving pressing scientific and technological challenges. While SPPs are more focused and less complex than CRADAs, they lack the broader collaborative potential of CRADAs, where the emphasis is on shared research endeavors.
