Three people at a conference table

Whether you already have a Berkeley Lab researcher in mind or need help finding the right expert, contact the Strategic Partnership Office (SPO) to kick off the proposal process. We’ll provide specific guidance to get you started.

Three people looking at laptop

Working together, you and Berkeley Lab will create a detailed statement of work (SOW), outlining the project’s scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.

Once the SOW is in place, we assess the project’s feasibility. If everything looks good, the next step is for the partner to complete registration. We’ll also discuss potential funding sources, whether through grants or private funding.

Our team will work with you to finalize the proposal, which includes terms and conditions for your review.

Once the proposal is approved, we’ll finalize the agreement and ensure all parties sign off.

With the agreement in place and funding secured, work can officially begin. Berkeley Lab will start the project once the funds are authorized and received.
